The small Guildford Lane precinct in the centre of Melbourne looks like a movie set - a block of three perfect Victorian red brick laneways nestled amongst a forest of skyscrapers (with more construction ongoing on its perimeter).
Dropping off a friend at a Guildford Lane art gallery on a Sunday morning, I wandered around it for half an hour or so, and found a heap of signs. I'd been there before and had snapped the Rex Advertising sign, but this time I found more, because the light was so good and I had time to explore:
