Today I took a lightning five-hour visit to central Sydney for work. But even in that short time, a few ghost signs reared their heads.
I snapped the first one in the city near Wynyard station on the way to our meeting.
The other three were taken by colleague Dale from the train back to the airport (Dale had the better phone camera):

Great work in Sydney Stefan. You have kept up your very high standard in 2015 and its been great to work with you at events a couple of times and on Melbourne Ghost Signs Facebook. More power to you and colleagues !
ReplyDeleteHi Rob. Thank you - it's been a fun year and you've been flying the ghost sign flag high with all your detailed and fascinating research on the origins of the signs. Good to work with you.

ReplyDeleteHi Rob. Looks like the same comment was posted twice so deleted one copy :)
DeleteA few thoughts on Hiding Away in Melbourne from Highlander Lane and surrounds - haven't seen these before but note the first Melb one seems to have the company name Dixon Pitt P/L or similar and has a carbon dioxide filling point on the wall which may mean something. Also the last Melb one in Elizabeth St has "warehouse" amongst its lettering so might be worth researching. I'll try.
ReplyDeleteThanks...would be interesting to find out more :)
