I might have known it would be a good ghost sign day today. Not only is it Friday the 13th, but my lunch meeting at Melbourne University ended up being at a cafe adorned with its own ghost sign:
But it was really the way there that was lucky. I was running early and saw a couple of signs along the way in North Melbourne so I pulled over. As a result, I discovered an ex-industrial streetscape full of them (O'Connell Street). Here they are:
